Review October Glam Bag 2015

I have played around with the items in my ipsy glam bag and here is what I think.

1. Meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipstick in Committed by The Balm Cosmetics:
Let me just say how perfectly beautiful this color is! This is the perfect nude for me. It doesnt wash me out yet it still has a nude- yet very soft mauve or pinkish hint, but just slightly. This liquid lipstick is a full matte finish, yet it applies so easily and smoothly. And it has a very nice soft vanilla scent. But it is not perfect. I did find a flaw. This product is so drying on my lips. After a few seconds you apply and it sets, it looks beautiful and feel fine. But a few minutes later my lips look and feel dry. I did find my self having to apply my lip balm several times. I should mention I also applied my lip balm before application, yet my lips kept getting dry. However, the color practically lasts all day with little to minimal transfer.
I will share some pictures of me wearing this:
In this second picture you might be able to see how dry my lips look. The lines on my lips are more pronounced:

2. Argan Face Serum by Nourish Organic: Like the product name says, it's basically a face serum. A pleasant discrete scent. When I place some in my hands to put on my face, my first thought was "Wow, this is going to be too oily!" But i was wrong. I rubbed between my hands and gently massaged in my face and was pleasantly surprised to discover how hydrated and smooth my face felt and looked without looking or feeling oily.

3. Laura Geller Baked Blush-N-Brighten in Tropic Hues:
Love LOVE LOVE IT! Seriously, the colors in this blush are amazing. A little goes a long way. You can definitely pull of a soft blush or build it up for a more noticeable blush. What I love about this is that it also serves as a beautiful highlighter. I know these retail for around $27, but this is something I eventually will end up splurging on. By the way, in the pictures above, I am wearing this blush. I applied with a soft touch because it was for work and wanted a more toned down look.

4. Coastal Scents Black Liner: There is not much to say. It is just an eyeliner nothing spectacular about it. It does go on smooth and it is a dark shade of black, however, it smudges easily and does not last very long. This is probably, no, definitely my least favorite of the bag.

5. Balance Guru Body Scrub: This contains raw sugar, organic coffee, coconut oil, and cocoa butter. It has a minty coffee like smell. But there is also another scent that I honestly have no idea what it is. It is quite gritty. I used it in the shower and boy do I like it! I only used it in my arms and hands and on my face. But if you decide to use it on the face you have to be very gentle and massage in circular motion, as it states in the jar. But I do feel my skin to be smoother and brighter. This is something I might actually consider buying, or you know what, maybe even a DIY project.

Well, this concludes my review for October's glam bag. I cant wait to see what November's bag will be like. I already received a tiny preview. And I am excited!!!!! Til the next one.... stay confident, positive and well!

October Glam Bag: Alter Ego

Lets begin with the bag. As you can see, it is a double sided. On one side its a nice gold, and on the other side it's  a black shiny raincoat material. I do not like the black side. It looks cheap in my opinion. And it's a fingerprint/stain magnet. I wouldhave liked it if it was all gold. But to each their own

But lets get to the good stuff. I should mention though, that in this post I will only share the products and will reserve my actual reviews until I have actually used the products more than just once.

The first item is a face serum:

2. Coastal Scents Black eyeliner:
3. Body scrub:
4. Blush Highlighter:
5. Liquid lipstick:

My first impression: Very excited to use all these products. These are all items that comein handy around this autumn season.

So please subscribe/follow this blog to stay up to date and know what I think of these and other beauty products. In my next post, i will go into a full review and overall rating.

February GlamBag #IpsyLove

These  are the items I got in my February  glambag. And after using them for a bit here are my thoughts on the items.

1. Mitchell and Peach Floral No.1 Fine Radiance Face Oil: Nice clean scent. I thought it was going to be too oily for my face,  but it actually wasn't.  It was very hydrating.  And it was quickly absorbed into my skin without leaving a greasy residue. Just remember to use 2-3 drops,  being careful  not too apply too much.

2. Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini 02: I absolutely love this blush shade. It looks really bright in the packaging, but once on the skin, it gave me  a wonderful blushed color! And it lasted all day until I removed my makeup at night. (Pictures of me wearing the blush below, as you can see very natural nice blush)

3. Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray: This smells just heavenly! And it did help by hair look more voluminous.  What I did not like about this spray is that it made my hair feel a bit dry.

4. Cargo Cosmetics Lip gloss  in Anguilla: The color looks beautiful in the bottle. But once on the lips.... uuuggghhhh! I did not like the shade on my lips. Kind of made me look as if I was dead, or dying. It was pale and very streaky. But i tried putting it on top of my cappuccino colored lipstick, and it created a nice  color and did not look streaky. But I would never use this gloss by itself. Also, I  dont know if it was just mine, but it had a wierd unpleasant scent. Honestly, I wouldn't buy it.(see picture of lips below)

5. 'Tini beauty Powder Eye Shadow  in Pearl Fizz: I LOVE this eyeshadow! Very nice highlight shade, perfect for the brow bone area or inside corner of the eye. And this shadow lasted all day. Also, a little goes a long way. It goes on very smooth. (Pictures below of me wearing the eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes and in browbone area)

Blush looks very natural if applied lightly
Using the tini beauty eyeshadow i  browbone and i ner corner of eyes.
Wearing the Cargo lipgloss  (i do NOT like at all)

January Ipsy Glam Bag

I have finally returned! I missed last month's review, but I am back. This month the theme is "Fresh Start". Here are the products i received:

Elizabeth Mott
All Over Shadow Brush
Its pink and white and lovely looking. The brush bristles are soft to the touch but a bit too stiff on the eye. It works well for patting on the color.

Hey Honey
Take It Off! Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask: Smells very nice. It is like a clear serum. Tacky texture. I did not like that it dries too quickly. And when its time to peel off, the mask does not come off easily. I had to wash it off because it would come off in tiny pieces. It was quite annoying. But it did leave my skin feeling soft.

Hikari Cosmetics
Mechanical Eye Liner
I liked the color and how the pencil is shaped, kind of rectangular/triangle. But I had to really do several strokes and pressure in order for the color to show. But once on, it is a nice long lasting color.

(MALIN+GOETZ)
Mojito Lip Balm
I expected a mojito like flavor, but it was not . But it was hydrating. what I didnt like was how glossy it was. It left my lips looking too glossy. However, it did not feel greasy or too sticky.

Pacifica
Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow
This one was a pleasant surprise. I had previously received a pacifica eyeshadow and I did NOT like it. But this time i
I actually liked this one. I got the one in "Etheral". Nice color. And this time it actually has a good color pigmentation. It goes on easily and smoothly.
