Review: Ipsy November Glam Bag

Well hello fellow Ipsters!
I know, I know I am a bit late with this month's glam bag review.  But hey! Better late than never.  But before i get to the good part... i need to confess something.  You know how i was complaining about the items of my bags. Well i thought i had changed my Ipsy survey,  And it turns out i wasn't selecting all the makeup and other beauty related options.  See what happened was that I was using an old mobile phone to do the survey. And apparently that old phone was not scrolling thru all the options SMH. But that is finally fixed, so I can't wait for December's glam bag!!!

But i have rambled on too much. So let's jump in.

Here is a list of the items i received:
1. SeaRx Skincare- First of all, this was such a tiny sample. It was basically just enough for a one time use. Therefore I cant really give a thorough review. But here is what i got from that use: It has a very nice grapefruit scent. And not the artificial scent- it actually smells like a real grapefruit. The product itself is a white color. And the scrub element is very very fine, hardly noticeable. But i did have to use quite a bit of it. My skin did feel very clean and smooth. It did not irritate at all. I felt it did give my skin a natural glow and did make it more brighter. Did well at removing some loose skin cells i had around my nose and forehead area.

2. ck one color Lip Gloss color "Tender"- Again veri tiny sample. The color in the bottle looks very nice, a very soft neutral color with very fine copper glitter. But when i put it on my lips, without any other base color, the color was not noticeable. Maybe it is too close to my natural lip color. It smells like vanilla cupcake. And it is not sticky but does feel a bit heavy.

3. Elizabeth Mott you're so FINE Eyeliner- This is by far my favorite item in this month's bag! Perfect amount of silver glitter. It is a very black color, and the glitter is very fine so it does not irritate my eyes. The way the liner handle is designed makes it so easy for me to apply. And i am always struggling with my eyeliner because i can never get it somewhat even. But this liner is the perfect brush thickness/length. It did not flake and practically lasted all night. I loved it so much that i actually purchased two extea liners taking advantage of the discount codes i get for being an ipsy member. And this is the first product i actually buy from all my ipsy bags.

4. GLAMGLOW POWERMUD™ DUALCLEANSE TREATMENT- At first i had no idea what this was much less how to use it. Here is the brief description. It looks like actual mud, or clay. Its a mask that you put on a clean dry face. And you leave it on for about 10 mins. It goes on clear, but as it dries, it hardens and has a grey clay like look and feel. After the ten minutes have elapsed,  you rinse off with warm water. As you rinse it turns into an oil like consistency. And then you pat dry. I actually loved how hidrated my face felt. It indeed look much more vibrant and clean. This is definately worth the money.

5. Nicole by OPI Nail Polish "Guys and Galaxies"- this is a nice nail polish. It has a clear base. And it has lots of silver holographic glitter. The glitter is very ultra fine glitter. And also very small tiny squares. I will share some pictures with you, and you can see that I had to do at least three coats of polish. Since it has a clear base, if you only do one coat you can still see your natural nails right through the nail polish. But I did like the drying time. I did one hand and then the other and by the time I was finished with the second hand the first coat was already dry. The glitter does shine very beautiful. And it radiates tones of green and blue and very shiny. *** Update on the Nicole by O.P.I nail polish**** I do not like this polish. It basically peeled off less than 24 hrs of wear. I would expect a better quality long lasting wear from such a well known brand.

October Ipsy Beauty Candy Review

I have played with my items in the bag and i am back! Armed with reviews!!!! So let's just jump right in"

1. Ecru New York Beauty Balm for Hair: Smells great, leaves my hair feeling silky soft, doesn't weigh my hair down. It also does NOT leave or make my hair greasy. Makes flat ironing my hair a breeze. The wonderful scent did last all day long. And it did give my hair a very nice natural shine without looking or feeling greasy. I am surprised at how much i like this product.

2. Figs and Rogue Hand Cream: I did not like this at all! It is not moisturizing at all, feels watery when i apply. And the scent is a bit like child's antibiotic liquid medicine, which is that sweet smelling kind. Not happy with it.

3. City Color Be Matte Lipstick: Love the color! I got the color "M7" which is "Cappuccino" It is a nice neutral brownish color. Great for every day wear. I truly is matte. It does however feel a bit dry. But it does practically last all day which is good. Now, for that dry feeling, i just apply a bit of lip balm before applying the lipstick and remove the excess on a tissue, then apply the lipstick and i am good to go. I will post a picture of me wearing the lipstick. As you will see in the picture, it is very natural, yet still gives a pop of color. Now keep in mind, that my camera washes out much of the color. Also, this was also after me drinking my morning coffee/breakfast.

4. Skyn Iceland Cleansing Cloths: This item was very unexpected. Since the theme is "Beauty Candy" i thought i would be getting more makeup items than what i got. And these cleansing cloths.... well, i honestly don't know. They are just cleansing cloths. The only thing that stood out was that they smell a bit like cinnamon and also leaves a tingling sensation in the skin. Other than that, they clean like any other cleansing cloth in the market nothing outstanding about them... Ipsy, you are letting me down....

5. Doll 10 Highlighter color Champagne: The scent reminds me of a lip gloss i had as a child, somewhat like vanilla. It is in a creamy consistency. Very light. Too light actually. I can hardly tell i have it on. In order for it to even be noticeable i really have to pack it on. And i don't like how it applies on my skin. It seems to bring out every line in my skin.

Overall, as you can probable tell by now, i am not very happy with this month's bag. I think i will give this month's bag 2 stars out of 5. I really liked the hair BB cream by ECRU and i liked the City Color Be Matte Lipstick, but that was it. I was pretty disappointed with everything else. I will give Ipsy a few more months... if they items do not improve, i will be canceling :(

September Street Style Glam Bag Review

I have enjoyed my time playing with the items I received in this month's bag. So now it is time for me to share with you what I liked and did not like about my items in the bag. Let's begin:

1.  Mitchell and Peach luxury hand cream. It is very nourishing and hydrating. It has a rich formula. It is blended with vitamin E, ahead butter and English honey. I really liked the scent of this hand cream. It has a light and fresh, clean scent. It smells a bit lemony, laveneder, I can't quite pin point the precise scent but it smells quite exquisite. I work in a clinic so I am constantly washing my hands, therefore they get dry and cracked. But since I had this hand cream on me in my handy Ipsy bag i was able to pamper My hands asap. This is one item i did enjoy and do recommend.

2. Cailyn Tinted Lip Gloss color Love Affair: I liked the color. It is a burgundy-wine color, which is very "in" for fall. But that is all I liked about this product. I just dont Luke the formula. It chapped my lips. It seems to be made from petroleum jelly. And when applied on the lips, I just dont feel it does much for me. I am aware it is a tint, but I feel it doesnt work well enough for the price and color pay off. I personally do not Like this gloss, and would not buy or recommend this to anyone. Oh, and just an fyi, it is completely scent free, to some it might be a good or bad thing.

3. Nourish Organic Cucumber and Watercress face cleanser: This is very very organic lol. And what I mean by that is it has no scent added. It is in its natural soap scent. Which some people find off putting. I personally do not mind it. It is jus natural, the way it was originally intended. Non of that artificial scented stuff. I use it daily in the shower. It is strong enough to wash away my makeup and impurities from the daily grind, yet gentle enough to use on a daily basis. After using my face feels clean. But I do recommend you use a good moisturizer afterwards. But like I said, if scent is something you are very picky/sensitive, you might re think this one because it does have that natural, good ol' days soap scent. But it is a good gentle cleanser.

4. Crownbrush Crease/Shadow brush: I really like the quality of the bristlea of this brush! They feel so soft on my eyes. They are soft but the perfect amount of resistance to pack on the shadow. And since I have small eyes, I really like the size of the brushes, the fit perfectly in my eye not too big like other brushes out on the market. The crease brush was great because it was sturdy and gave me great control when applying the shadow. Even the handle felt of great quality. Before getting this in my Ipsy bag, I had never hear of Crown Brush, now I am definitely going to look into more of their brushes. This, I think, is,my favorite of all the items in the bag. I definitely recommend you try this out for yourselves!

5. Pacifica natural minerals eye liner: I was really excited to tey thia liner. The color was very pretty and differwnt from what I have. It is a gunmetal color. I normally only use the classic black or brown, so I was excited when I saw this in my bag. When I tried to swatched the color on my wrist and it just crumbled! Thats very dissapointing because it makes it difficult when applying on the eye. But I did like the color. But I dont like the consistency, and since it needs to glide on easily since it is in a sensitive area, the eye, I probably wont be purchasing this. I dont like to have to tug with the eye liner. Plus, there is hardly any color pigmentation, it smudges away very easily and you are just left with hardly noticeable shimmer. I do not like!

Well this sums up my review. I hope you find it helpful and enjoyed.

And dont forget to stop by YouTube channel, I shared a Street Style Ipsy inspired nail design:

September Ipsy Glam Bag: Street Style

Aaaahhhh, September! Schools are back in session, the leaves are changing, the weather is changing, and apparently so did my Ipsy Glam Bag. And let me tell you, I HATED IT!!!!!! But, I am getting ahead of myself. I'll start at the beginning.

As always, I was actually trying to keep the contents of my glam bag a surprise. But I somehow got into the sneek peek they offer. So that went out the door. One I was in the sneek peek room, I saw what they were sending in my bag.  First of all the theme of this month is "Street Style". And I saw they were sending me hand creams, and face cleansers, and not the things that caught my eye in the teasers they were showing thruout the week. Some of the other items they were showing were nail polishes and a nice deep red lipstick, and other makeup items that I really wanted to try out. So I was really upset and confused when I saw they were sending me all these skincare items instead of what "I wanted".

So a few days later I get my glam bag in the mail and I open it. I start going through the items and reading the containers... And BAM! it hits,me! I remembered last month I had an epiphany and modified my Ipsy beauty survey. Last month I was thinking about how beauty starts not with the makeup. Makeup just enhances what already is there, so I should take care of it now instead of trying to fix or correct the "foundation" later. So I decided to modify my survey to put more emphasis on skin care. And you know what Ipsy did... They listened, and sent exactly what I asked for! So I will give these items a try and will return with a review. In the meantime, here is a picture and a list of items I received

1. Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream.

2. Cailyn Tinted lip gloss

3. Nourish Organic Cucumber and Watercress face cleanser

4. Pacifica natural minerals eye liner

5. Crownbrush Crease/Shadow brush

August Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Okay fellow Ipsters! The time has come for me to give you my true and honest opinion on these items. So here it is.... and as always , feel free to express yourselves in the comment sections below if you feel differently as I do of any of these products. Or better yet, if you have tips and tricks that might change my opinion, those are especially welcomed!

Klorane Dry Shampoo: This has a very nice subtle clean scent. Very straight forward instructions. It says to just shake well, spray, let sit for about two minutes and then brush out. It has a nice cooling effect. All it really is is powder. So make sure you brush it out well otherwise you look like you have premature white hairs. It worked well. I only sprayed it on certain area of my hair to test it out and i did notice and feel a difference. On the area I sprayed it, I saw my hair no longer had that greasy look and it did not look weighed down. My hair also felt different, "dry" in a good way, in a non greasy way. In general i did like the product, the one negative thing I can say is that it wastes away rather quickly. With about two sprays I almost finished the bottle( keep in mind this was just the sample bottle that came in my ipsy bag).

J Cat Beauty Eye Shadow Flying Solo in Half Naked: Let me start with the pakaging... I do not really like it. I mean, it's cute how it has a cute mirror and shadow and a brush all in one (even though the brush is one of those cheap spongee applicators). But it seems they gave more room for the tiny minature useless brush applicator than to the shadow itself. They probably could have used that space for another shadow, or at least a larger amount of shadow. The color that came in my Ipsy bag was very pretty though. It is called Half Naked and it is a very nice champagne like color. Very cremy and smooth. Shimmery.

Urban Decay Perversion Bigger Blacker Badder Mascara:
I am So glad I received this in my Ipsy bag! But not because of what you think! If I would have gone and paid the full price for this mascara I would have been so upset!!!! Yes you read right! This mascara is so over rated in my case. It did nothing for me. At least nothing any generic mascara has done for me. Actually, i have a $7 mascara that works much better that this. Thanks to this sample I received in y Ipsy bag I saved my self from wasting that money I was so close to wasting in buying that mascara at full price because of all the hype it was receiving. At least now I can say I tried it and I know I didn't like it and it did not cost an arm and a leg!

Dr Brandt Pores no more: I will remain honest in my reviews, with that being said, I feel I need more time with this baby so I can give an honest true review. So I will continue to play with it and will come back with a later review.

Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo: This mouthful is basically an anti aging lip conditioner. And its organic. It is not as sticky as i expected which is good. It did help with my chapped cracked lips rather quickly and did not make worse like other oil based lip products. I like the "flavor" it came in, Mandarin green orange ginger, very citrus! It is cruelty free, organic, and fresh citrus scents, make it perfect for these hot summer months!

Well I hope you enjoyed my reviews for this months bag. I want to continue playing with the Dr Brandt Pores no more.... Kind of disappointed with the Urban Decay mascara, I had high hopes for it. August Ipsy Glam Bag Has Arrived!

Hoooooraaaayyy! It is always very exciting when i get my bubbly pink envelope in the mailbox. I was very excited for this bag in particular because it is the first bag,so far, in which i don't peak in my "glam room" to preview what i am getting. And let me tell you, I am very pleased with what received in this month's glam bag! Well, at least, very excited to try them since i have never used these products before. So here they are... I will soon (hopefully)upload an "unbagging" video on www.youtube.com/chiniriz100 But in the meantime, here are the pictures.

July Ipsy Glam Bag Review

I know I know, its already August and am just doing this! :D

But here its is, lets get right to it.
1. Pop Beauty Bronzer: I like the color and how easy it is to blend. And it does last all day, at least on me it does.

2.  Elizabeth Mott lip/cheek stain: It smells like a cherry popsicle, and how the color looks on my lips also looks like I have been eating popsicles all day. But if you layer it with a neutral gloss it actually looks really nice. I have used it as a cheek stain and I also liked the long lasting color. But be careful not to over do it, otherwise you'll look like
you have a cold burn on your cheeks.

3. bareMinerals 5 in 1 BB advanced performance cream eyeshadow: this goes on very smooth and does practically last all day. I did not like the color that came in my bag. I think it was too "taupey"... that's probably not a word.. but it was too taupe for my my skin and for my liking. If i did happen to buy one, it would have to be in a different color.

4. Be FINE daily moisturizer worth spf 15: It was nothing extraordinary. It was basically a moisturizer with a hint of spf smell. It honestly did not do much for my skin. I mean, at least nothing any other basic moisturizer has done for me. So this one, i wouldn't buy.

5. Hang Ten dark tanning oil: This one.... Ahhhh the one i never get to use! The ONE time went to the pool, i forget it! So i can't really say much about it since i didnt really get to use it. I can tell you it has a very slight coconut scent, but the spf smell seems to take over. I didn't get to use it but i did open it to smell it and feel the consistency. I sprayed some on my arm and it does feel a bit oily but quickly is absorbed by the skin. And i did have to work it in a bit because it looked to oily. But after i massaged it in, it left a nice hydrated look. And i did like it did not leave my palm of my hand oily.

Overall, i am content with the items... i would give this bag a 4 stars out of 10. The reason to why i dont give it a higher score is because some of the colors were not my favorites. And the moisturizer was not extraordinary.
