Guess Who's Back?!

Hello my Lovelies! I know I have been MIA for a while. But I am here! And not only am I here, but I am here ready to give this blog a makeover. Yes! You read right. I am going to change things up a bit. But fear not. It will still be all beauty related. In fact it will include even more lovely makeup up items. Before I was just sharing with you what came in my Ipsy bags. Well now I will be reviewing, hauling etc all sorts of exciting products. And I will be sharing swatches, pictures and maybe even video.  So as you might notice, I also changed the name to go with what you will be seeing in the blog. Selfies, for when I share the occasional makeup of the day, or to show you how a particular product looks. And Nailfies because I will also be sharing pictures of my nails and the design and tutorials I do or products I use. And the more... well, pretty self explanatory, I might include a little extra here and there to keep things interesting.

So how about I give you a little preview of what I am about to share with you in the next blog???

My recent ColourPop purchases!

So stay tuned for the next post. I will share lots of pictures, swatches and all the deets and my review.

January 2016 Glam Bag "All Eyes On You"

Eye see you beautiful Ipsters! See what Eye did there? Okay, okay enough with all the puns! By now you probably know the the the of the month for the ipsy glam bag is all eyes on you. And let me tell you that every single item I received in my bag certainly did fit the theme! And I am one happy camper! Here are the items that came in my bag:

1. Pixi by Petra Mesmerizing mineral duo Lavender Bloom The colors look beautiful. In the package that is. When i swathed with my finge, the colors were beautiful. One is a nize bronzey copper like color. Very shimmery. Out of the two, this is the most pigmented. But when I applied it on my l8d I could hardly notice the color. I had to really work  hRd to get the color to be noticeable. The second color, the lavender, rose like color, was even worse. Although beautiful when swathched, when applied on the lid there is no color pay off. And there is a lot of fall out. I was very dissapointed with this duo. I would not spend money on this.

2. Lasting Smiles Organic Lip Balm Peppermint Creme (the only non- eye related item) Ldt me tell you! I had been struggling with very dry cracked lips for about three weeks. I was using a very well known egg shapped lip balm with no improvement. And with one day of using this lip balm I saw a noticeable improvement. After two full days of usi g it my lips were almost back to normal. And I lo e that it has a very refreshing minty feeling. I definitely recommend this.

3. SKONE Smudge Brush not much to say about this brush. Its just average. It does what any average smudge brush does.

4. Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner by theBalm in Scott. This liner is great for the water line are. Not so great for the top eye line area. It seems a bit to dry for that are S it seems to tug when I tried to line my top las line and I really had a difficulttime applying it in that area. But when I use it in the water line are when doing a nice smokey look, I do love it. And the color is quite beautiful. It's like a brick brown color very pretty.

5.  OFRA Eyebrow Pencil in Universal  Very easy and smooth to apply. Also a good universal color. It is a good long  lasting eyebrow color.

Review October Glam Bag 2015

I have played around with the items in my ipsy glam bag and here is what I think.

1. Meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipstick in Committed by The Balm Cosmetics:
Let me just say how perfectly beautiful this color is! This is the perfect nude for me. It doesnt wash me out yet it still has a nude- yet very soft mauve or pinkish hint, but just slightly. This liquid lipstick is a full matte finish, yet it applies so easily and smoothly. And it has a very nice soft vanilla scent. But it is not perfect. I did find a flaw. This product is so drying on my lips. After a few seconds you apply and it sets, it looks beautiful and feel fine. But a few minutes later my lips look and feel dry. I did find my self having to apply my lip balm several times. I should mention I also applied my lip balm before application, yet my lips kept getting dry. However, the color practically lasts all day with little to minimal transfer.
I will share some pictures of me wearing this:
In this second picture you might be able to see how dry my lips look. The lines on my lips are more pronounced:

2. Argan Face Serum by Nourish Organic: Like the product name says, it's basically a face serum. A pleasant discrete scent. When I place some in my hands to put on my face, my first thought was "Wow, this is going to be too oily!" But i was wrong. I rubbed between my hands and gently massaged in my face and was pleasantly surprised to discover how hydrated and smooth my face felt and looked without looking or feeling oily.

3. Laura Geller Baked Blush-N-Brighten in Tropic Hues:
Love LOVE LOVE IT! Seriously, the colors in this blush are amazing. A little goes a long way. You can definitely pull of a soft blush or build it up for a more noticeable blush. What I love about this is that it also serves as a beautiful highlighter. I know these retail for around $27, but this is something I eventually will end up splurging on. By the way, in the pictures above, I am wearing this blush. I applied with a soft touch because it was for work and wanted a more toned down look.

4. Coastal Scents Black Liner: There is not much to say. It is just an eyeliner nothing spectacular about it. It does go on smooth and it is a dark shade of black, however, it smudges easily and does not last very long. This is probably, no, definitely my least favorite of the bag.

5. Balance Guru Body Scrub: This contains raw sugar, organic coffee, coconut oil, and cocoa butter. It has a minty coffee like smell. But there is also another scent that I honestly have no idea what it is. It is quite gritty. I used it in the shower and boy do I like it! I only used it in my arms and hands and on my face. But if you decide to use it on the face you have to be very gentle and massage in circular motion, as it states in the jar. But I do feel my skin to be smoother and brighter. This is something I might actually consider buying, or you know what, maybe even a DIY project.

Well, this concludes my review for October's glam bag. I cant wait to see what November's bag will be like. I already received a tiny preview. And I am excited!!!!! Til the next one.... stay confident, positive and well!

October Glam Bag: Alter Ego

Lets begin with the bag. As you can see, it is a double sided. On one side its a nice gold, and on the other side it's  a black shiny raincoat material. I do not like the black side. It looks cheap in my opinion. And it's a fingerprint/stain magnet. I wouldhave liked it if it was all gold. But to each their own

But lets get to the good stuff. I should mention though, that in this post I will only share the products and will reserve my actual reviews until I have actually used the products more than just once.

The first item is a face serum:

2. Coastal Scents Black eyeliner:
3. Body scrub:
4. Blush Highlighter:
5. Liquid lipstick:

My first impression: Very excited to use all these products. These are all items that comein handy around this autumn season.

So please subscribe/follow this blog to stay up to date and know what I think of these and other beauty products. In my next post, i will go into a full review and overall rating.
